English Copywriter, Montreal

CloudRaker is  looking for an English Copywriter to join our rapidly expanding team of talented experience designers, storytellers and content creators. Our ideal candidate is a highly gifted storyteller who possesses a flair for prose and is constantly trying to improve their command of the media arts.

Perhaps you’re from a traditional agency background with a passion for the interactive arts or from a digital agency background with the chops to go 360. Either way, you’re a natural entrepreneur and seller of ideas, but also a team player who’s the furthest thing possible from a diva.

Your day-to-day:

  • Generate original creative ideas that resonate;

  • Tell captivating stories - long, short and everything in between;

  • Write copy for all creative projects including advertising, content, interactive, experiential and design in keeping with the tone and style of the brand;

  • Collaborate closely with art directors, designers, strategists, technologists, account handlers and producers;

  • Supervise concepts and copy as work rockets through the production process;

  • Present your work to clients with passion and enthusiasm; selling your ideas with conviction;

  • Innovate with new methods and technologies to connect with consumers in meaningful ways;

  • Explore and experiment with new technology and tools for agency projects;

  • Pursue success like a bloodhound (without being a jerk about it);

You Have:

  • Minimum of 5 years in a similar role at an agency (trad or digital);

  • Experience working on 360 campaigns (TV or online film, out of home, radio, web campaigns, social);

  • A portfolio brimming with great creative ideas;

  • A highly advanced command of the English language;

  • A strong understanding of the design process and marketing industry landscape;

  • Excellent communication skills in English and French;

  • The ability to juggle multiple projects and know how to prioritize;

  • Experience with retail clients (nice-to-have).
